Following extensive discussions and reviews with numerous stakeholders (Hockey Alberta staff, the Hockey Alberta Elite Female Committee, Hockey Alberta Minor Female Committee, the EFHL, Hockey Edmonton member associations, Hockey Edmonton member families, external associations), the Hockey Edmonton Executive have recognized the demand to better support, structure, and align female hockey programming (all streams) within Edmonton. • Ensure the best possible operational decisions for all streams of female hockey within the Edmonton zone including, but not limited to, program execution (structure), boundary determination, implementation of transparent and fair registration, tryout, and team formation processes that ensure competitiveness or parity of teams where necessary.

  • One Hockey Edmonton, Technical Director
  • Up to three “Female Hockey Experts” within the Edmonton, AB and surrounding area hockey community (TBD)

Subsequent discussions will encompass the structure (all streams) of female hockey moving forward. The first meeting of the FHC will be on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 7:00pm in the Hockey Edmonton office. The Hockey Edmonton Female Hockey Committee Terms of Reference (ToR) will be presented at the inaugural meeting.
